Hermans Bakery
When I was little my grandmother would always bring us marshmallow doughnuts from Hermans Bakery in Dundalk. I think it's the only place in Baltimore you can get doughnuts like that...it used to be a Baltimore institution with stores all over the city but now there's only one. I went recently to get a box of red velvet cupcakes which were really good. Everyone that worked there were older women.

Trip to the Legg Mason Building
Tuesday I went to the Legg Mason building to pick up some material for another class I was in. So I took the subway.
But it got stuck and I was there waiting for about half an hour for it to come to the State Center station. There was some guy behind me on the platform who was complaining a lot about how the city doesn't know how to deal with snow. He sounded Russian.
Eventually I got there.
And there was a picket line out front of the Bank of America building across the street. I walked up to one of the people who was picketing and he told me they were upset that they weren't getting paid enough...and that they didn't have any food. Someone yelled "Don't be making any pictures...have the balls to ask, that's what this is about"
Then I went inside the building and up to the 12th floor and picked up the stuff I was supposed to get. I was curious so I took the elevator all the way to the top and looked around. There was a cafe up there and that was pretty much it. But then I found another door that said barbershop on it, and went up another flight of stairs and wouldn't you know there was a barbershop up there. Then I found a window and drew the view.

S(no)w Day
I did some sketching this week of the snow storm we had. The first two are of the traffic jams the snow caused. I saw a fire truck get stuck, and shortly after that a friend and I helped push an undercover cop out of the the snow. The last one is actually from a picture from awhile ago- right around the Domino Sugar plant- I though the name of the ship was appropriate.
