Yesterday Alain and I met to scope out a beauty school to arrange a deal where we could go there and sketch people as they worked. The school was called Miracles Hair Salon on Howard street, and we got to speak with the vice-director Derald Queen. He said we would probably be able to come back and to get in touch with him soon. I also spoke with one of the students and gave her my info, she said she wanted to commission a portrait from me and that she liked my shoes. Unfortunately the salon was closing for the day so we went to Lexington Market instead where I did this sketch.
